The Giving Gallery
A handmade wooden gallery where Stein places artworks for visitors to encounter. The gallery itself is the work: small in scale, public in purpose, and built around access rather than transaction.
Art Abandonment
A separate, ongoing project in which Stein gift-wraps artworks and leaves them in public locations for unknown recipients. Each abandonment is documented with images, date, time, geographic location, and the work placed.
Both projects grow from five years of The Giving Project and Stein’s MFA work in Art Practice at the School of Visual Arts.
